My name is Roque Luis de la Cruz. I was born and raised right here in Cabarete, and I have spent the last five years driving visitors around this coast.
I know this road by heart: which turn to take when the entrance to town jams up, where to slow down after dark, what time the sun comes up over Playa Grande. I did not learn that from a map. I grew up here.
And I do the driving myself. The person who answers your WhatsApp is the one holding the sign at the airport, the one loading your boards, and the one taking you back on the day you leave. That is why the price is agreed before the trip and does not change once your luggage is in the van.

How far is Cabarete from Puerto Plata airport?
Cabarete is 18 kilometres from Puerto Plata International Airport (POP), about 25 minutes by car along the coastal road. It is the closest airport to Cabarete.

The price is for the whole vehicle, up to 6 passengers with luggage. Three people or six people pay the same, so travelling as a group works out cheaper than a shared shuttle.
Can you carry kiteboards and surfboards?
Yes. The minivan has a roof cargo box built for board bags, and Cabarete is a kitesurf town, so we do it every day. Tell us how many boards when you book and there is no extra charge.
Do you have child seats?
Yes, at no extra cost, but we need to know in advance. Tell us the age of the child when you book so the right seat is in the van.
Is it safe to take a taxi at night in Cabarete?
With a booked private driver, yes. You know the vehicle, the driver and the price before you get in, which is the part that makes the difference at 3 in the morning.
Do you serve hotels, villas and Airbnb rentals?
